Hi, I'm Deanna.

The name Dalyssa comes from my first-name initial, "D," and my middle name, Alyssa. It's more than a business name it's a piece of me.

How It Started

Long before I dreamed of owning a hair company, I simply loved doing hair. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of sitting beside my oldest brother while he patiently taught me how to single braid on a doll I named Kenya. He probably didn't realize it then, but those moments planted the seed for something much bigger.

By age 12, I was braiding hair for real my first paying client was one of my mom's coworkers. (I even brought products to school once and washed a friend's hair in the classroom sink between classes. Looking back, it's funny how hair has always found its way into my life.)

But it was never just about the hairstyle. What I loved most was watching someone come in feeling one way and leave feeling completely different seeing a woman look in the mirror, smile, stand a little taller, and think, "Yeah… I'm her." That feeling never gets old.

Finding Extensions

In high school, I discovered hair extensions. I spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, fascinated by sew-ins. My mom did my first install; for my second, I challenged myself to do it alone. I was hooked from that moment on.

I wore extensions faithfully, always finding ways to revive and preserve the hair rather than replace it. I believed then, and still believe now, that quality hair should be an investment not something you constantly have to replace.

Becoming the Go-To

Eventually, clients started asking me: "What hair should I buy? Can you help me choose?" They trusted me to help them spend their money wisely, and I never took that lightly. That trust pushed me to study hair differently testing companies, comparing textures and quality, tracking how long hair actually lasted.
